40% of the film was looped because of problematic production recording.  It took two weeks

to loop William Hurt’s role.  He hadn’t seen the film in a year and  a half, since the end of principle photography ended.  He was performing Hurly Burly on Broadway during the night and recreating the role of Luis Molina during the day (two diametrically polar roles).
