1980 - Shogun Assassin was edited and compiled from the first two films in the (6) Japanese “Baby Cart” series.  Foley and sound effects were simple but were the forerunners of gory films today. In the end scenes of Kill Bill 2 the protagonist and her daughter watch Shogun Assassin as a bed-time story.
